In the heart of Namakwaland in South Africa pens and peppermills are made on a wood lathe. That is a skill that I have. Feel free to browse around and order your special gift for someone that has everything ( well almost...)
I stay in a small town Kamieskroon in the centre of Namakwaland, South Africa. The region is well known for it's abundance of wild flowers during August and September every year.
The Wild Olive tree grow in abundance in the kloofs.
I am semi-retired and use my skills on a lathe as an artform . I turn pens and peppermils out of Wild Olive wood and other exotic wood.
The Wild Olive give a very textured finish, is very hard to turn and the end product is extra-ordinary.
You are welcome to contact me for info on pens and peppermills. I can help with the booking of accommodation and tour-plans for Namakwaland.
